Cub Scouts Decorate Free Clinic of Southwest Washington Giving Tree

Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Troop 484 from La Center dropped by the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington (FCSW) on December 21 to decorate the Clinic's Giving Tree with warm mittens, gloves, hats and homemade fleece scarves. The giving tree is a tradition at the FCSW. Volunteers, staff, community members and service organizations donate items that are hung on the tree and are available for patients to take. The Troop was educated on what the tree is and how it helps people in the community that do not have extra money to buy warm clothes during the winter. Clinic Director, Patrick Callahan, gave the Scouts a tour of the Medical and Dental Clinics and discussed the benefits the FCSW provides to uninsured individuals. The Cub Scouts had a great time learning more about the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington and felt good about giving back to their community.
