Free Clinic of Southwest Washington provides and facilitates access to free, compassionate, quality health care for children and adults who are otherwise unable to access such services.

 

Two (2) AmeriCorps Positions

The AmeriCorps member is a 10.5 month, full-time position with a nominal stipend for basic living expenses.  The AmeriCorps 2010-2011 service year is September 1st - July 31st and requires a total commitment of 1700 hours. 

AmeriCorps Member Benefits include

1.  Volunteer Program & Project Access Clark County

(This position provides coordination for two programs.)

Program Coordinator - Volunteer Program (65%)   
The Program Coordinator will work with existing volunteers and will provide volunteer scheduling support to program leaders. The member will act as the primary facilitator of new volunteers, from application, interview. and enrollment, to job placement and orientation. They will act as a liaison with the public to communicate patient need and volunteer opportunities—this will involve speaking to potential volunteers at volunteer fairs, over the phone, by email, and through other media. 

Program Assistant - Project Access Clark County (35%) 
The Program Assistant will help support the program through the receiving of referrals and the screening & eligibility process. Inputting referrals into the database, putting case review forms on and in Medical Review folder, updating the tracking log, contacting of patients, working with community partners regarding screening of patients, processing enrollment applications, process any follow-up from the Medical Review, returning patient phone calls and dealing with phone messages. Other duties as assigned.

 

2.  Dental Program & Project Access Clark County

(This position provides coordination for two programs.)

Program Coordinator - Dental Program (65%)  
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of dental clinics with Van Coordinator, patient management, communication with patients, and community outreach.

Program Assistant - Project Access Clark County (35%) 
The Program Assistant will provide support inputting provider information, updating the web-site, closing patient files, creating newly enrolled patient files, compiling and completing reports, taking meeting minutes, updating forms when needed, processing mail, contacting DSHS to check the status of patients in their system. Other duties as assigned.
