Project Access Clark County Full Launch!

Project Access Clark County (PACC) is a new program of Free Clinic of Southwest Washington that coordinates access to donated specialty medical services for low-income uninsured people living in Clark County, Washington.

July 1, 2008 marks the first day of full-program launch for PACC!  We look forward to the opportunity to expand our capacity to coordinate access to specialty care for the low-income uninsured of Clark County.

After a successful four-month pilot program that fielded over 55 referrals from Sea Mar Community Health Center and New Heights Clinic, Project Access Clark County is opening its doors to receive specialty referrals from the rest of the health care community.

If a patient’s medical condition is an emergency and needs to be treated immediately, the patient should go to the nearest Emergency Room.  If the patient’s medical condition is urgent but not an emergency, services are available at Free Clinic of Southwest Washington, SeaMar Community Health Center, or New Heights Clinic.

If a physician feels an uninsured low-income patient needs to see a medical specialist, they may refer the patient to Project Access Clark County.  Physician referrals can come from any practicing physician, including those at SeaMar Community Health Center, New Heights Clinic, and here at Free Clinic of Southwest Washington.

Once a patient has been referred to Project Access Clark County, our Patient Care Coordinator will contact the patient to schedule enrollment appointments.  The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for handling all patient specialty referrals and coordinating patient enrollment procedures.
