Scheduled Clinics

A variety of scheduling options supports the sometimes hectic lives many of us live. 

Scheduling Options or Styles

All scheduling styles are valued, and make specific contributions to the whole.  Volunteers may sign up for more than one style. E.g., someone with a regular (repeating) shift may also wish to fill in gaps periodically.  Please discuss multiple options with the volunteer office at 360-313-1399 or volunteer@freeclinics.org

Regular Schedule

Whether weekly, monthly, or quarterly, having a regular schedule reduces cost to the clinic by reducing the need to contact volunteers each month to fill schedules.  If possible, please sign up for an automatic, repeating, shift by calling the volunteer staff at 360.313.1399.  With this type of assignment, you will not receive additional requests for service. Regulars are deeply valued for their reliability.

IF YOUR OWN CIRCUMSTANCES PRECLUDE YOU FROM MAKING A REGULAR COMMITMENT, THERE ARE TWO OTHER OPTIONS:

Varied Schedule

If your schedule changes month to month, you may log in to the online scheduling center and schedule your shifts in advance.   If you haven’t scheduled by the beginning of the month, clinic staff will call you to ask for help with unfilled shifts. Varied schedulers are greatly valued for their ability to fill shifts not held by a regular in the schedule.

 

Substitute Schedule

When a volunteer position is currently full, we may start volunteers as a substitute.  Substitutes view the calendar more frequently and may fill any gaps if they are no more than one week out.   Substitutes are highly valued for the ability to fill scheduling gaps each week.

Wednesday

  • 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. --ALSO-- 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. DENTAL CLINICS (if Dentist schedules)
  • 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. URGENT CARE Clinic
  • 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. PEDIATRIC IMMUNIZATION Clinic
  • 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. DENTAL SEALANTS Clinic

Thursday
  • 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. --ALSO-- 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. DENTAL CLINICS (if Dentist schedules)
  • 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. URGENT CARE Clinic


Friday

  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. HEALTH SCREENING Clinic

VicNet - Online Scheduling Center

The Free Clinic Volunteer Program uses a web-based database called Volgistics.  This features an excellent online Volunteer Information Center Network (VicNet) that allows you to manage your volunteer information and volunteer schedule from any computer with internet access. 

You can schedule new volunteer shifts, edit existing shits, complete time sheets, update your contact information, or see who else is on shift with you.   If your email is on file with us, you can access the VIC at any time.
