He worked as a paramedic for 5 yrs before becoming a PA through the program at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He has worked full time as an Emergency Medicine PA since 1996 and currently works at SW Medical Center full time, and per diem at Kaiser and Emanuel Hospital in Portland, and Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, all in the departments of emergency medicine.Volunteering since 2003

“What I really like about the Free Clinic of SW Washington is helping folks who would otherwise have to go to the emergency dept if we were not here.  Many of these patients have low paying jobs without benefits of any kind so when they get ill or injured they have to make a decision between paying for health care or paying for food and rent.  The Free Clinic bridges that gap and lets them continue to pay for other necessities like food and shelter.....” Eric Holden, PA-C, MPA, EMT-P
